Being a student with loads of work can be hard to manage; going to school, doing homework, eating, going outside, being social, and getting sleep all in one day. The average teenager is supposed to get 8 to 9 hours of sleep each night. Trying to get all your work done can result in not getting your beauty rest. Here are just a few ways to get your night’s rest.

The most important step is to make a schedule. It’s easier for your body to fall asleep when you do so at the same time everyday. Another way to get a good rest is to turn your phone off when you get in bed. When you’re in the dark, the bright screen can possibly damage your eyes, making your eyesight worse. If you feel like you need something to distract yourself with before you fall asleep, you should try reading a chapter book. When you read, it’s easier to rift off (especially if the book is boring). If it’s been a long day and you just can’t just fall asleep, try doing some stretches or light exercises. Stretching can help your muscle rest, and you’ll want to go straight to bed. An alternative to exercise is doing little tasks such as cleaning your room, organizing, studying, homework, or chores. This works the same way stretching does; you’ll feel fatigue and want to get some rest. With these easy tips, you can get a good night’s rest.
